Вышла первая версия нового дистрибутива grml-small. Сами разработчики характеризуют свой продукт как Knoppix для системных администраторов. Это – упрощенная версия grml-system, возможности ядра тоже 2.6.12 урезаны. ISO-релиз не содержит даже документации. Программное обеспечение тоже очень тщательно отбиралось, в релиз вошло только самое необходимое. В итоге ISO-образ дистрибутива занимает 50 Мб.

grml 1.0, code name 'Meilenschwein' available. The new grml release brings 109 new packages, many new features and several improved, updated and extended configuration files.
