Sandboxie - утилита для контроля за работой различных программ. После установки утилиты взаимодействия всевозможных программ с системой будут происходить через неё. Это даст вам возможность удалять следы последнего сеанса работы приложений. Таким образом, данная программа выступает своеобразным фильтром, в котором задерживаются все изменения, вносимые в систему различными программами. Благодаря такому подходу возможно удалять установленные шпионские модули и промо-утилиты, проникающие на компьютер, например, через браузер. Таким же образом утилита следит за работой почтовой программы, направляя в свою "ловушку" прикрепленные к письмам вирусы и трояны.
Sandboxie позволяет запускать браузер или другую программу так, что любые изменения, связанные с использованием этой программы, сохранялись в ограниченной среде (т.е. "песочнице"), которую позже можно будет целиком удалить. В результате такого принципа работы данной программы, можно быстро удалить любые изменения - например, связанные с активностью в Интернете (изменения закладок, домашней страницы, реестра и т.п.). Кроме этого, в случае, если какие-либо файлы были загружены внутри сессии "песочницы", то они будет удален при ее очистке. Программа работает из системного лотка; для ее активации достаточно запустить нужную программу через иконку Sandboxie, находящуюся в трее.

Fixes and enhancements related to Windows Vista:
On Windows Vista, Internet Explorer did not always show Immediate Recovery notifications, and this has been fixed.
On Windows Vista, Sandboxie Control does not run as Administrator when launched at the end of the Sandboxie installation.
On Windows Vista, a sandboxed Internet Explorer need not be "Run As Administrator" in order to install ActiveX components.
On Windows Vista, Sandboxie Start Menu can show shortcuts installed into the sandbox under the "All Users" profile.

Usability
Several common dialog windows in Sandboxie Control windows can be minimized: Sandbox Settings, Delete Contents, Quick Recovery, Immediate Recovery, Messages from Sandboxie.

Firefox places.sqlite file is excluded from file migration limits.
Windows Explorer thumbcache_*.db files are excluded from file migration limits.
When running under Sandboxie, Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 correctly displays embedded preview.

This version is primarily a bug-fix release which resolves a few issues reported in version 3.60.
Bug Fixes
Sandboxie Control would crash if one of the Quick Recovery folders is a reparse point
Sandboxie Control would not forget its window size and position in a multiple monitor setup.
A file that matches a direct access setting could be handled incorrectly (1) if renamed to a name which no longer matches any direct access settings; or (2) if its parent folder did not exist outside the sandbox.
Direct access exclusions to window class names would not always apply under 64-bit Windows.

Q. Is Sandboxie freeware or shareware?
A. Sandboxie is shareware software. The free version is missing a few features which are available in the paid version. After 30 days of use, the free version displays reminders to upgrade to the paid version, but remains functional. For personal use, you are encouraged, but not required, to upgrade to the paid version.
      •  For non-personal use (including commercial, eductional, governmental, and not-for-profit use), Sandboxie must be properly licensed. See Commercial Licensing.

Q. Which features are available in the paid version?
A. Two features:
      •  "Force" programs: Automatically run programs under Sandboxie even when they are not started directly through Sandboxie. Programs can be "forced" by name or by containing folder.
      •  Run programs in more than one sandbox at the same time. This causes error SBIE1303 in the free version.
