Обновилась программа, предназначенная для обмена файлами между пользователями. LimeWire отличается от программ аналогичного назначения тем, что совместима практически со всеми P2P сетями. Если вы не знакомы с этой программой, то, чтобы её освоить, вам придется приложить некоторые усилия. Зато после её освоения вы сможете начать поиск и скачивание интересующего файла в бескрайних просторах интернета. После первого запуска LimeWire подключается к своему центральному серверу, анализирует состояние сети и делает запрос на интересующий вас файл. Можно искать всё, что угодно: MP3, игры, программы, картинки, текстовые документы разнообразных форматов и т.д.

Программа для поиска и загрузки файлов через сеть расшаренных пользовательских ресурсов Gnutella, совместимая с другими gnutella-клиентами. На мой взгляд, одна из лучших программ такого рода - простая в установке и применении и в то же время хорошо конфигурируемая, с гибко настраиваемыми фильтрами и автоматической настройкой на оптимальую скорость скачивания при различных видах подключения к Интернету (от модема до T3). Написанная на Java, программа является мультиплатформенной и имеет модификации для MacOS, Solaris и Lunix.
Для работы программе требуется Java2 Runtime Environment. Поддерживаются скины.

Video support to watch a file in LimeWire for Windows and Mac OS X Snow Leopard. If LimeWire is unable to play due to a missing codec, your default system video player loads.
Inadvertent file sharing updates to ensure users understand what is shared.
