K3b 0.12Вышла новая версия популярной графической оболочки под KDE для записи CD/DVD в UNIX/Linux-системах — K3b 0.12.
Автор говорит о множестве изменений в K3b 0.12, среди которых выделяет:
— почти полностью переделанная работа с аудио (появилась возможность объединения/разбиения треков, добавления тишины в начале/конце композиций; устранены проблемы с паузами между треками, проявлявшиеся в старых версиях K3b, по умолчанию теперь не устанавливаются 2-секундные паузы; добавлять аудиотреки в проект отныне можно прямо из браузера AudioCD, пропала необходимость в предварительном ручном копировании треков с аудиодиска; появились новые плагины аудиодекодирования для файлов Musepack; многочисленные другие улучшения);
— представлена поддержка файлов .cue для быстрого создания проектов аудиодисков;
— у K3b появилось управление сессиями: теперь можно не заботиться о сохранении проекта диска в программе перед выходом из KDE (при следующем запуске K3b будут открыты все те же проекты, что оставались перед выходом);
— новая система автоматической работы с многосессионным режимом для дисков с данными (программа сама решит, когда начать, продолжить или закончить запись мультисессионного CD/DVD, основываясь на размере проекта и оставшемся месте на носителе);
— в K3b 0.12 появилась базовая поддержка HAL.

K3b 0.12.9Одна из лучших CD/DVD писалок в Линуксе снова обновилась. Новость всего ничего, но в этой версии:
- Исправили ошибку с постпроверкой файлов с именами в отличных от C локалях
- Решены проблемы с очень большими файлами на некоторых системах
- Теперь поддерживается запись файлов с виртуальной KDE-only файловой системы media://
- Появилась новая привлекательная тема
- Добавлен аудио выход ALSA
и многое другое.

K3b 0.12.11Вышла новая версия программы по записи CD/DVD(RW) дисков, основанная на библиотеках KDE. В этом релизе произведено множество мелких полезных исправлений и улучшений, в т.ч. исправлен баг с появлением щелчков при записи музыкальных дисков из WAV файлов.

K3b 1.0 finalКак отмечает автор программы Sebastian Trug, после нескольких лет разработки, можно сказать, через тернии это наконец свершилось.
Changelog довольно большой. Из наиболее интересных моментов можно отметить запись DVD-Video с помощью перегона "на лету" из Konqueror, а также улучшенные диалоги кодирования ogg/mp3.

k3b 1.0.2Now this is just another bugfix release. I had hoped to be able to release K3b 1.1 by now and make it my wedding release but sadly it is not ready yet. Thus, my wedding release is "just" a small maintenance release. Have fun.

k3b 1.0.3Reverted to old behaviour of reloading medium before verification. Not enough testing had been done before introducing this and some systems fail to read the medium before reload (Bugs 147297, 147328, 147420, 147698).
Do not crash when the currently playing audio project item is removed (Bug 147548).
Added desktop actions to handle empty media with K3b.
Fixed read retry when reading data tracks (Bug 147778).
K3b's dialogs now honor the global button layout setting (Bug 147799).
Do not crash on mp3 files without tags if compiled with taglib support (Bug 142651).

k3b 1.0.4K3b now silently allows the burning of files bigger than 4 GB if an appropriate version of genisoimage or mkisofs is installed ("silently" means that I did not introduce any new messages)
I was not able to find the aweful "disabled DMA" bug but I introduced a little workaround which hopefully solves it for many of you (BTW: K3b from svn trunk does support DVD burning with cdrecord.)
Never use growisofs parameter -dvd-compat with DVD-RW media in restricted overwrite mode (some drivesdo not like that)
Unmount medium before DVD formatting

k3b 1.0.5After two weeks without internet connection and hacking on the K3b KDE 4 port I am still not finished. K3b 1.1 (I decided to not increase the major number for the KDE 4 release as it will not have many new features) will again take more time.
In the meantime enjoy this very small bugfix release which fixes three annoyances:
Fixed CD Copy device selection when starting from the KDE "run" dialog (Bug 151924)
Fixed HAL mounting (thanks to Ken Milmore)
Always wait for the drive to become ready before starting verification (this should fix some of the problems with failed verification where K3b claims that no medium is in the drive.)
I hope that I will find some more time for K3b and give you an alpha release of 1.1 soon.
