Gimp 2.3.3

Вышла свежая development версия популярного графического редактора.

Самое главное изменение, добавка интересного инструмента для выделения объектов, основанного на алгоритме SIOX (Simple Interactive Foreground eXtraction).

Вышла очередная версия нестабильной ветки GIMP, всё больше приближающая нас к релизу 2.4. Наиболее интересные изменения:

- добавлен инструмент "Клонирование с перспективой" (Perspective Clone), разработанный в рамках Google SoC 2006 как клон инструмента Vanishing Points из Adobe Photoshop CS2
- по умолчанию пробел работает переключателем в режим перемещения по изображению (отключаемо);
- в диалоге с вопросом, поворачивать ли изображение по данным EXIF, показывается эскиз результата;
- улучшены инструменты выделения, появилась возможность напрямую задавать соотношение сторон при кадрировании (например, 3:2), кадрирующая рамка больше не выползает за границы изображения;
- добавлен эффект коррекции геометрических искажений на фотографиях;
- возобновлена работа над модулем управления цветом, если LittleCMS найдена в системе, диалог выбора цвета в CMYK-нотации собирается с учётом управления цвета;

GIMP 2.4

Спустя почти 2 года, вышла новая стабильная версия GIMP.
GNU Image Manipulation Program или GIMP (Гимп) — растровый графический редактор, программа для создания и обработки растровой графики. Частично поддерживается векторная графика. Проект основан в 1995 году Спенсером Кимбеллом и Питером Маттисом как дипломный проект, в настоящий момент поддерживается группой добровольцев. Распространяется на условиях GNU General Public License.
Изменений с последней стабильной версии 2.2 очень много, все даже не перечислить, отмечу что сильно улучшена поддержка различных проприетарных форматов, в частности PSD, поддержка импорта кистей Photoshop, появились новые инструменты и фильтры, новая тема иконок, поддержка CMYK и многое, многое другое.

GIMP 2.5.0

Выпущена первая нестабильная версия GIMP новой ветки разработки. Изменения более чем достойны внимания:
использование GEGL для некоторых операций цветокоррекции, а также в инструментах цветокоррекции из верхней половины меню «Цвет»;
приличная часть кода портирована на Cairo, что особенно заметно в диалоге коррекции кривых;
новый инструмент многоугольного выделения;
начата работа над реализацией текстовых блоков как таковых (при смене размера блока буквы сами переносятся на строку выше или ниже);
параметры инструментов занимают меньше места на рабочем столе;
заложен фундамент для категоризации ресурсов (кисти, градиенты и т.д.) метками;
при закрытии последнего изображения остаётся висеть окно, в которой можно перетащить изображение, так что вы больше не потеряете GIMP на десктопах;
меню из панели инструментов окончательно перенесено в окно документа (оптимальная организация меню пока не достигнута);
в рамках одной сессии запоминаются все ранее использованные параметры инструментов цветокоррекции (всё та же верхняя половина меню «Цвет»);
переписанное заново расширение для загрузки PSD;
прочие улучшения.
Стоит помнить, что версия 2.6 — промежуточная. Её задача — заложить фундамент для будущих коренных изменений, таких как долгожданная поддержка CMYK и CIELAB, 16bit/32 float point на канал, HDRi и так далее.

Отдельно следует отметить, что коррекционные слои в привычном виде могут никогда не появиться, потому что композитинг на основе графов подразумевает несколько иной интерфейс и более мощный функционал

Кстати, именно эта особенность архитектуры GEGL позволит малой кровью реализовать запись и воспроизведение макросов.

Что касается текущей реализации GEGL в GIMP, флажок "Use GEGL" в панели инструментов пока что лучше держать снятым. Дело в том, что данные сейчас пересчитываются из 8 разрядов на канал в float (80 разрядов) и обратно. Это существенно замедляет обработку изображений. Разумеется, в конечной версии 2.6 это будет исправлено. Вполне возможно, что GIMP не будет работать с той же скоростью, что и раньше, но функционал разработчикам, по их собственному признанию, сейчас милее повышенной производительности.

Интерфейс пользователя:

Убрана строка меню из панели инструментов, основным элементом интерфейса теперь выступает окно редактирования изображения. При начальном запуске без параметров, вместо панели инструментов теперь появляется окно с пустым изображением. Меню "Диалоги" переименовано в "Окна";
Вспомогательные панели инструментов и диалоги стали более компактными, их теперь можно размещать поверх дока, фиксировать позицию и скрывать с панели задач оконного менеджера;
Полосы прокрутки теперь позволяют выходить за края изображения, что повысило удобство выполнения операций с угловыми частями и краями картинки;
Сохраняется история использования элементов интерфейса, позволяя быстро вернуть какое-то закрытое окно;
Возможность изменения масштаба, через ввод уровня масштабирования в статусной строке.

Утилиты, фильтры и плагины:

Совмещены инструменты свободного и многоугольного выделения областей, допускается сочетание сегментов обоих типов выделения;
Возможность динамического изменения параметров кисти, выбирается сочетание размера, цвета, плотности и прозрачности с такими параметрами, как нажим, скорость и случайный фактор;
Возможность определения области ввода текста на холсте, в которой будет осуществляться функция автоматического переноса на новую строку, включая изменение переносов при изменении размера блока;
Упрощение работы с узкими прямоугольными выделениями в таких инструментах как кадрирование;
При перемещении объектов, чтобы не сбиться с прямой, возможна фиксация горизонтальной или вертикальной составляющей;
В инструментах рисования расширены возможности по размыванию. В инструменте размазывания теперь можно менять размер кисти;
При выделении и перемещении прямоугольных областей отображается центр данной области;
Возможность сохранения часто используемых настроек цветокоррекции;
Возможность перемещения настроек из блока "Яркость-Контраст" в блок "Уровни", из блока "Уровни" в блок "Кривые";
В инструментах трансформации можно задавать степень прозрачности в окне предварительного просмотра;
Плагин для создания скриншотов теперь может запечатлевать позицию курсора мыши на экране;
В плагин Пламя добавлено 22 новых вида огня;
В файловых диалогах, подобных загрузке кистей, добавлена возможность рекурсивного поиска файлов;
Полностью переписан PSD плагин, добавлена поддержка ICC-профилей.

Экспериментальный частичный переход Gimp на использование GEGL (Generic Graphics Library) для управления цветами. Работа по переходу на GEGL будет продолжена при подготовке ветки GIMP 2.8, что позволит увеличить глубину цвета на канал (сейчас только 8 бит на канал ), использовать цветовую схему CMYK.
Многие виджеты портированы на использование библиотеки Cairo.

GIMP 2.7.0

GIMP 2.7.0 - первый релиз в экспериментальной ветке GIMP, выступающей в роли тестового полигона для формирования стабильной ветки GIMP 2.8. Начиная с данного выпуска кодовая база проекта переведена на использование лицензии GPLv3.

Некоторые другие новшества:

Улучшение интерфейса пользователя:
- Поддержка прямого ввода текста на холсте, без открытия промежуточного окна ввода;
- Возможность привязки ключевых слов (тегов) к кистям, текстурам и градиентам. Поддержка фильтрации, группировки и поиска элементов по сопоставленным с ними тэгами. База тэгов хранится в XML файле, что упрощает их обработку внешними приложениями;
- Полное разделение операций по сохранению и экспорту изображений: сохранить изображение отныне можно только в формате XCF, во все остальные форматы сохранение возможно через меню экспорта 'File->Export...'. Тем не менее будет предусмотрен режим быстрого сохранения в изначальный формат, например, когда нужно открыть jpeg, немного отредактировать и сохранить обратно в jpeg, при этом число промежуточных диалогов будет минимизировано;
- В функции оперирующих изменением размера, добавлена поддержка указания относительных величин, например, в процентах (50%) или через выражение (30in + 40px);
- Возможность группировки слоев, через логическое объединение слоев на основании их вклада в общее изображение. Поддерживается быстрое применение определенной операции к группе в целом, например, можно изменить уровень яркости целиком для группы;
- Улучшение работы движка формирования динамических кистей. Поддержка динамического вращения, наклона или масштаба кистей.
Ведется работа по пересмотру представленного по умолчанию набора кистей и других ресурсов;
Добавлены плагины для загрузки изображений в формате JPEG2000, файлов с курсорами мыши для X11 и raw-данных с 16-битным представлением цвета (RGB565). Плагин для экспорта палитры для CSS, PHP, Python, txt и Java;
Продолжение перевода кода на GEGL (Generic Graphics Library), что позволит увеличить глубину цвета на канал (сейчас только 8 бит на канал ), использовать цветовые схемы CMYK и LaB.
В скором времени ожидается появление поддержки слоев, изображение в которых представлено в векторном виде;
Некоторые планы на будущее (скорее всего не будет включено в 2.8):
- Вейвлетные фильтры, которые формируют для обрабатываемого изображения заданное число слоев, в каждом из которых сохранен вариант с различным уровнем детализации (от контуров к мелочам);
- Новый однооконный интерфейс, базирующийся на концепции вкладок (табов);
- Реализация слоев выполняющих корректировку и задающих определенные эффекты;
- Объединение в один инструмент функций проекции, искажения, поворота и масштабирования.

По сравнению с прошлым тестовым выпуском, в версии 2.7.1 проведена большая работа по улучшению интерфейса пользователя, направленная прежде всего на реализацию будущего однооконного интерфейса, отличающегося группировкой элементов в рамках одного окна и активным использованием вкладок (табов). Другим полезным новшеством является поддержка группировки слоев.

отрисовка всех инструментов на холсте, а также ряда фильтров переписана на Cairo;
реализовано централизованное управление предустановками инструментов, с категоризацией метками;

можно менять цвет текста внутри одного блока;
