Ekahau Site Survey Pro
Ekahau Site Survey - Программа измерения и моделирования (Site Survey) сетей 802.11a/b/g/n. Особенность данного ПО в том, что из аппаратного обеспечения потребуется лишь ноутбук с адаптером Wi-Fi и желательно, внешняя антенна, позволяющая повысить точность проводимых измерений. Соответственно, для наружных работ при покупке опционального-программного модуля понадобится GPS-приемник.
Схема работы этого ПО весьма проста. В начале с помощью Site Survey производится планирование сети, для чего в редакторообразном окне составляется план покрываемого сетью помещения. Далее производится выбор расположения точек доступа, а при помощи Ekahau Client и ноутбука – проверка и доводка выбранного положения точек доступа. Далее идет этап выбора оптимального радиорежима и повторный контроль радиоэфира. Вообще, работа с программой напоминает подгонку результата под необходимые условия в числовых методах. Корреляция искомого положения радиоэфира беспроводной сети ведется до тех пор, пока не будет найден достаточный для заданных условий режим.

Ekahau Pro 10.2.2 has changed the java library to open JDK, using patch926.jar no longer works because the code to read the information is no longer the correct name and path.Can you update the new patch to version 10.2.2?

Since 10.3, it seems that the survey file generated by the higher version cannot be opened by the lower version

На MacOs приложения это Пакеты(грубо говоря папка в которой находятся файлы исполняемые, библиотеки, иконки и итп). Нужно нажать правой кнопкой на приложение и выбрать Открыть содержимое пакета. Внутри будет дерево папок.

Java classes was renamed so previous fix will NOT WORK!For now I'm busy making money, 11.0.1 is good enough for me now.

Improvements:
We brought back the adjustable sidebars for Access Point List and Inspect-workspace grid. Either Open/Close the sidebars with new arrows or bravely grab the divider and freely adjust the sidebar width! The choice...is yours.
We heard you loud and clear that you wanted again more statistics for your designs. Now you can once again access the statistics popup in the Design workspace with a button on the right edge of the map toolbar.
Added keyboard shortcuts for switching between workspaces. Now you can switch between the workspace with numbers 1-4.
Also, we added shortcuts for tools as well. You can switch between the tools with CTRL/CMD+1 --> CTRL/CMD+9 combinations. Works both in Design-workspace and Survey-workspace.
Lastly, we ended our shortcut adding spree by adding shortcuts for tool sub-selections as well! You can cycle the sub-selections by repeatedly pressing the tool's shortcut. For example, pressing CTRL/CMD+4 multiple times will cycle through Wall, Attenuation Area and Hole-in-Floor tools.
Wide channels are now indicated with different colors on the Access Point and Radios List, so you can quickly see with a glance how wide you're going with your channels and if anything is amiss.
"View as Mobile Device" option is now turned off by default for new projects. This means visualization is shown as "Measured" by default without additional offsets to simulate a typical mobile device.
Transparency on drop-down menus was toned down for better readability.
Channel Planner now prefers PSC for wide channels on 6Ghz frequency. All the cool kids use the PSC nowadays, don't ya know?
Ability to exit Additional Radio Info view in Inspect-workspace and Visualization Options everywhere with ESC.
User guide button in Ekahau AI Pro will now take you to the new Ekahau AI Pro user guide.

For your template reporting needs, a new data tag "technology-phy" was added to be used inside a ssid or network loop. New AP name generator
You can use optional {map} parameter for the floor name and {xxx} for the running number together with the length
Remember, try to keep the AP name in 15 characters or less, because that's what the APs like!
Add notes to multiple APs in one go by selecting the APs and right clicking for the options
Apparently most of the AP notes always contain the same info so this makes assigning those installations instructions much faster
Also editing Notes is now undoable for obvious reasons... because nobody ever makes any mistakes
Save / Load / Undo / Redo buttons brought back to main UI
They are quite obvious and hard to miss...
...but how about the zoom buttons?
The zoom buttons are also back, but they are located in the lower-right corner of the map view like in any modern application
Copy & Paste an AP at a cursor location
Just right click the map view to paste the copied AP onto that location with Paste Here option
In the INSPECT workspace, the Statistics & Pass/Fail details now default to all areas aggregated statistics instead of the largest area
In case you want to see the statistics for a single requirement area, just select that area
You can set the default color for new simulated APs in the preferences menu

1. Install to Applications, RUN once, close Ekahau Capture
2. In finder Applications - Ekahau Capture - Show package contents
3. Extract Contents/Java/lib/ekahau-capture.jar to /Java folder (should look like this)
4. Delete Contents/Java/lib/ekahau-capture.jar
5. In /Applications/Ekahau\ Capture.app/Contents/Java/com/ekahau/capture/ui/ replace all LoginDialog* files with files from LiberateCapture.zip
6. Open Capture and Enjoy

I see 11.1.3 does not work with SA-1 correctly anymore. I cannot set channels for passive scan for SA-1 adapters: "apply" button does not pressed. Could somebody check if the problem persist for all or this behavior just on my setup?UPD: the same behavior in 11.1.2, but 11.0.2 works good

The directory installation layout changed a bit from 11.2 to 11.3 but the classes are the same, it seems to me. You may try this:1) take the previous patch ep1114.jar (the previous ep-main-0.1.0.jar seems to work too, and it seems to deal even with Dv.class, for the proxy too) and put it into C:\Program Files\Ekahau\Ekahau AI Pro-11.3.1\app
2) With a text editor edit Ekahau AI Pro.cfg. Administrative privileges are likely required. Before the line "app.classpath=$APPDIR\survey.application.jar" paste "app.classpath=$APPDIR\ep1114.jar".
3) Try.
FYI: the logfile now is in %USERPROFILE%\Ekahau Pro\log.
P.S. If someone knows how the original patch was created, I would be curious to know. I'm absolutely no Java expert, maybe it is trivial. Just for curiousity, I decompiled the patch classes, then recompiled them. Whe I try to rebuild the .jar, I see that there is uppercase/lowercase confusion (both Cz.class and CZ.class are present for example) and the compiler gives symbol resolution errors. So I'm unable to merely rebuild the .jar. If there is someone hearing who produced the patch, I would be curious. Thx:)

11.4.1 is out. For win: Again, the class structure is not changed that much. Only a rename seems to be needed.Take the previous cure, ep-main-11.4.0-renamed.jar , open it with some unzip program, and rename com\ekahau\x\GM.class to GQ.class, save it and use it like in 11.4.0. It should work for 11.4.1.
Maybe it would be more correct to also hex-edit the GQ file and change every GM occurrence in GQ, even if it seem to work only renaming it. (this is also too primitive, the file should be recompiled, but it seems to work anyway).
PS just in my other reply, If someone knows how the original patch was created, or if someone is able to decompile and recompile it, I would be curious to know how you do it. I always find method "is already defined in class" errors as a() and b() methods always seem to be defined multiple times, with no argument difference to differentiate between them. I'm absolutely no Java expert, maybe the solution is trivial. I'm just curious. Thx:)
