''Hi! Use older iTunes 12.3.0.44. Now your troubles are about getting Roon Remote to connect to your Roon Core PC. sad.gif If you get it working, please report back.''
Dear Tomchr. Just a short update on my efforts to downgrade Roon Remote (iOS) from 1.7 to 1.6:
I'm not sure I understand why getting Roon Remote to connect to the Core would be a problem. I have used Roon Remote for iOS 1.6 with Core 1.6 without issues (both Mac and PC); and made the connection between Remote 1.7 with Core 1.7 (with all the know problems). I've always found the instructions on the forum or used trial and error.
The problem remains the fact that:
1. Older iTunes generally will NOT connect with an iPhone/iPad running iOS 13, so I don't see any way I could push the app onto the device.
2. iTunes 12.3.0.44, which you suggested, and I have now tried, will neither connect to the appstore (it won't let me log in with my apple-id); nor will it connect with my iPhone/iPad.
3. Vall27´s link
will connect to my iPhone, but will not download the Roon Remote app if Charlies Proxy disables SSL-decryption. So I can't follow this method:
Let me know if you guys have any ideas?
